The Clear aligners Procedure
The process of receiving clear aligners begins with a consultation at Missouri River Dental because our team has expert training with this system. At this evaluation, we take digital images of your teeth and your mouth. These images will become point A in helping us design your treatment plan. Once your personalized plan and goals are agreed upon by us together, we will introduce the amazing technology. A 3D CAD/CAM system uses the digital images we have captured to design a series of plastic trays that apply pressure to your teeth, just like traditional braces. We can also use this digital technology to show you an image of our goal, or point B, before we even begin.
Based on your treatment plan, you will be given the trays that are designed to be replaced every two weeks. Each tray will move a tooth or teeth .25 millimeters at a time. Deliberate and methodical movement without the discomfort of the metal braces. We will schedule appointments every two months so we can monitor the improvements to confirm it is proceeding according to our plan.
It is absolutely imperative, to achieve the desired results in your plan, that you wear your aligners at least 20-22 hours a day. They are removable, but this benefit cannot be abused. You need to monitor the time they are out of your mouth, or you will be extending the duration of your entire procedure.

Using the clear aligners system can also help you maintain your oral hygiene. It is much easier for you to brush, floss, and rinse your mouth. You will also need to take diligent care of your aligners by keeping them clean. This just means rinsing them once a day and brushing them lightly with your toothbrush.
